Trend povratka klasičnog rocka, fričnog folka i južnjačke gotike pripisujem mudroj politici Ive Sanadera. Ne ide to samo od sebe i po volji povijesne nužnosti, kao što bi neki željeli da mislimo, a otvoreno ću reći da pod "neki" mislim "pojedinci".
Bodies of Water:A Certain Feeling
(...) for those with a fondness for fine-tuned fusions of prog-rock, metal and choral music, multi-part arrangements, tempo and key changes, and '70s swinger 'staches, that certain titular feeling will be one of elation.

Festival:Come, Arrow, ComeTribal drone, backwoods spiritual, basement psychedelia, hilltop roots romp -whatever element they touch upon filters through the genetics of sisterly song and descends on eager ears like a misty rain.(amazon.com)

Forward, Russia!Life Processes
Gorgeous, thoughtful, and musically brilliant, the album runs like a concept album about life experiences should...beginning, middle, end; all equally interesting and exciting.

The Hold Steady:Stay Positive(...) thick, humid arena rock, a high-pressure system of cresting guitars and pianos that injects these dramas with tension and embraces all their contradictions and ambiguities.(Los Angeles Times)

Teddy Thompson:A Piece of What You NeedThe son of folk-rock notables Richard and Linda Thompson urbanely sings and writes about suicide, dissipation, alcoholism, drugs, and even love and happiness with verve and wit. He knows how to capture the mood with a simple phrase, or how to twist a line to reveal a hidden meaning.(PopMatters)

Black Kids:Partie TraumaticAlmost everything here sounds like a hit waiting to happen, equipped with a tune strong enough to be heard above the hype--or the hype about the hype or the people complaining about the hype about the hype--and memorable enough to make the idea that Black Kids will be forgotten by Christmas seem a highly unlikely suggestion.(Guardian)

Errors:It's Not Something But It Is Like Whatever
Confident in their ability to make music chaotic, graceful, and danceable in equal measures, confident enough to clip the corners of what other outfits are doing without sounding derivative or even unoriginal, and, no doubt, confident they’ve just made a damn fine debut album.
(PopMatters)
The Duke Spirit:
Neptune
It’s tighter, and incredibly, more intimate and intense than the first, this is a band that functions as a whole, not merely a threadbare net of musicians straining to support the singer.

Eleanoora Rosenholm:Vainajan MuotokuvaHidden beneath blurts of analogue synthesizer and crisp electronic rhythms are the skeletons of long forgotten love-songs, folk music from another time, early 80s ballads - the music that brings nostalgia, romance and passion no matter what time of day it is.(boomkat.com)
Pyramids:PyramidsRecommended if you like taking some Valium and imagining what it would sound like if Al Jourgensen from Ministry programmed drums for a project between Johnny Greenwood from Radiohead and Jim James from My Morning Jacket that you were hearing from a different room with cotton in your ears.(absolutepunk.net)

Gregor Samsa:Rest
The wonder of Rest is in the spaces in between notes, the languorous quality of the songs, the confidence in allowing the listener to stretch out and take it all in, and the dual vocal whisperings of its leaders.

Lumerians:LumeriansTheir sound is hypnotic, meandering, charged and yet contemplative; distorted washes of synth, supernal organ and vibraphone brushed across a cinematic sky of deep blue. Lumerians dispense with guitars, percolating their songs with occasional bursts of percussive thunder and vocals.(Terrascope Online)
